I've never tried them before but lately I've had a craving to give them a go. Any recommendations on where to go in the Bartow/Cobb area?

Steamed in ocean water on Saltine with healthy dab of Texas pete.

When I was a kid I saw my older cousin getting them off rocks at low tide, and eating them raw onboard. This seems cool, but tossing one back raw that has been in the fridge for an unknown time not so much. I would like to give steamed a try.

Damn, now I'm craving Blue Points. Frying an oyster is like a first date with the perfect woman, and passing her around to your buddies before taking what's left home to "enjoy".

I usually go down to the DeKalb Farmers Market and buy a few dozen and shuck them myself. Theyre often better, bigger, more flavorful, and much cheaper to do them yourself.
