This little parrots feather didn't exist yesterday...now it's like 2.5" long (random joke about @karlvv here)
Apparently that's what happens when parrots feather gets adequate light? PXL_20210821_004846984.jpg

My homies water hyacinth has been growing like crazy, so I grabbed a small cutting. Hopefully it fares better than my first experience with water hyacinth (it should with the higher light location)

Got his new solar panel wires up. We should be ready to finish this bastard next weekend.
Mostly just need to do cleanup and plot out some new plantings to hide the solar panel.

That's a nice setup.

I helped a good friend build about a 8' diameter x 3' deep pond years ago. We didn't know shit about ponds, so there were a lot of mistakes... but eventually we worked through most of it. Then he sold the house. Next house didn't get a pond.

Cut a little hole in the side of this travel humidor that I got for free. The end of the extension cord is in there as well as the timer for the light and the air pump.

I stole some azolla (brownish looking shit) from my homie's pond. It's brownish because his pond is full light all day. It's already started to green up since going in my little pond. PXL_20210909_005807473.jpg
Thinking about seeing if I can get a dwarf Egyptian papyrus to thrive in mine.

You can see the azolla in this pic of his pond, as well as another lily bloom PXL_20210904_173630376.jpg
Having trouble keeping water clarity in his.
We have a lot of passive mechanical filtration in place and he's trying a fish/plant safe algaecide now. If that doesn't work, I might have to figure out a way to rig an air pump on the solar setup and use some T's to have it run a few sponge filters...
