So it looks like i'll be trading into a double stack 9mm 2011 w/ threaded barrel.
2011.JPG

so now I'll need to sell one of my own guns.... problem is i love them all, but i won't let my collection grow any larger.

How do I choose?
if i look at my 9mm's I've got the glock 22 w/ 9mm threaded barrel, but that gun is so versatile with all the barrels, plus its a glock and everyone needs a full size glock

my mp5k is sort of a novelty, but losing my subgun would be difficult, plus then i'd have useless 3 lug adapters.

my other 1911 is threaded, but its a 45 and come on, doesn't everyone need a 45 1911?

my glock 21 is set up for left hand, so Dad pretty much keeps that one even though its mine (its a fair deal for all my childhood guns).

I'd sell off an AR, but prices haven't jumped yet.

It's just too damn difficult.

I see no problem- you're trading into it.

Now if you were buying it, then yes, there could be a reason to sell something else.

:)

I'd tell you to sell the MP5K to me, but I's broke right now. But I do have someone interested in leasing-to-own my old house, so I might have free money sooner rather than later.

Sell the 45. It'll be easy to replace should you ever get the urge again.

btw, the doublestack STI 9mm's are the cat's ass.

Inter-hobby capital shifts aren't a problem ;)

I'd sell a band saw for a new pistola if that was what I wanted at the time (and I wasn't getting totally screwed by the deal). Now a jet ski is worth a bit more than a band saw, so I guess it would require a bit more thought. I would point out that it's about to be fall/winter and a jet ski is just going to take up space while you're out at the gun range.

I don't really have anything to add other than: I hate you. That's all. Carry on.

But yet you've already closed the deal?

How Well does it single feed?

Hey man, I had no idea that you were over here! How you been? I was going through my photobucket the other day and watched the videos of you shooting my snub .44 and me shooting your Ruger .44 with that +p+ ammo and wondering how you been.

Had a little work done yesterday.

I looked at having a STI double stack built a few years ago; a fellow at a gun show offered to sell me a raw frame & slide w/ a barrel for $600.

I wish I'd bought it: I think this was around 2008-2009.

Good God! That couldn't have felt good...I almost bought an STI Perfect 10 a few years ago but bought that Guncrafter 1911 instead. Still kinda kicking myself for not getting the STI as I've always wanted a 2011 and I've had dozens of 1911's.

I BUILT this one myself ... after it's all said and done there was over 1700 in it.

But you can buy complete mags from MBX ... just look them up online ....they aren't cheap ...about $140 or so per mag. But buying a cheap STI mag then replacing everything in it costs about that much too.
