Trying to save a few and build it cost me this time. Now I've gotta wait till I find one in stock again.
Prolly not going to find it until after the holidays. I keep getting the Christmas deals emails but most everything is OOS now anyway. I only need a BCG for the 7.62 x 39 build. I would like to get a couple more lowers so I have a dedicated lower for each upper. Unless something falls into my lap, I am done for now.

Saw this and thought of your build. @Red Dawn

Not gonna lie, it's tempting for me. I have a matched billet C3 upper and lower that's been in my safe for years. It'd make a sweet DMR.

Yes it would. I think that one is reduced the weight a bit too with fluted barrel and it looks cool. I've got another brand new 16" barrel if you go the standard carbine route too that I'm not using.

I've got a Charger and AR 300BLK calling your name too. That would take care of those 2 fires. Go ahead and extinguish them real quick. LoL. Did you find a M1 stock yet. I thought I saw one somewhere I could do some Internet digging to find it.

Lol! I hear ya! I know E Arthur Brown has them that look pretty good. I wanted to get a pair of consecutive serial 10/22 receivers and make one an M1 carbine and the other an M1A1 paratrooper.

Those are gonna be nice when you do get em together. Cool build ideas. You got me thinking about the M1 I like the carbine. If ammo wasn't crazy for them I'd prolly try to get one.

That's the whole reason I want to do a 10/22. I adore the M1 carbine. But decent ammo to feed them can be pricy. Too, I'm a 10/22 addict....

Guilty as charged I take a 22 every time I go shoot.
Same here. My the favorite are my 10/22 Takedown, M&P 15-22, and my Sig 522 SWAT. I paid a chunk for that last one. Lol. But it's the most reliable of all my 22s. And that's including my Henry lever action.

Buddy of mine is building an SBR 6.5 Grendel. Not really short, I think it's a 12". It's a dedicated DMR system, and will be run suppressed most of the time. He wanted something that was lightweight, compact, would do 600yds easy, with the ability to run to 800yds in a pinch. Sounds like an interesting project.

Will the 6.5 do that effectively in a 12" configuration? I know you're the long range guru, I'd like your opinion on it. I just figured you'd want at least an 18".
