I like Nemo’s stuff. They make a 300WinMag AR called the Omen.

Got to hold their stuff at NRRAM last year.

OMEN Watchman is on my bucket list. I've only read good things. Except that it destroys brass during ejection. No bueno with reloading. @ReservoirDawg10 you had any experience with these?

Nope. And probably never will. That's q lot of pressure for a an aluminum receiver to handle in case of an OOB discharge. You start playing with magnum cases, I want steel around it.

Looks like it's only about 2,000psi difference between .308 and .300 WM when loaded to SAAMI specs.

...2000 psi is quite a difference if you're near the yield strength of any material.

I’ve run a buddy’s Nemo Watchman .300WinMag out to 2,000yds. Great gun!

I was about to buy one when I picked up the DRD Tactical Kivaari .338 Lapua.

I got rid of my .300 WinMag’s and regret it. I’m hankering for another and dithering between an offering from Nemo or having a Mk13 built.

Did his Nemo chew up the brass that you recall? I'd love one like I said, but it's a bummer if you can't reload for it. It'll get expensive in a hurry.

Talked to my buddy. He said some of the brass is reloadable, some ain't. His exact words were, "Dents it, rips a chunk out of the rim and gets bad ejector swipes"

Now, I do remember that his handload was a barrel-burner of a fast-ass load, which would definitely contribute to this.

Spoke with Jim Gilliland. He is running loads that aren’t as insane as my buddy’s. Jim says his Nemo beats up brass, but that his brass is reloadable. Sizing did takes care of it.
