So my FDE Mk18 upper gets here tomorrow and I need a muzzle device. I've never really messed around with short barreled ARs, any suggestions on what to get? I'm considering a SF 3P warcomp, SF CT warcomp, a YHM Phantom, or maybe a VG6 Gamma. If i got one of the warcomp I'd probably do something silly and get an FDE SF Warden as well...

We were shooting my 8.5" AR yesterday with a 3-baffle brake and good gracious it was bad. And I had muffs over plugs.

And this coming from a guy with brakes on almost everything. We were shooting at Creekside and the plexiglass around the benches was literally deforming from the concussion. Looked like something out of the Matrix.

If anyone is going to the Machinegun Shoot at Red Hill in a few weeks we'll have it.

Get the brake that looks the best to you. I like the looks of the Gamma.

Yep - can't wait!

Where else can you rent mg's and blast away with your own stuff without worry about rate of fire, etc. As long as you're acting safe you can shoot as fast as you like.

I have an 8.5 BO with a Noveske Pig on it. Well worth it.

Also have a 7.5 223/556 “truck gun” with a KAK flash on it.

You can register and pay early online but it's not any cheaper than paying at the gate. I pay at the gate just in case the weather turns nasty.

I wouldn't get a brake for something short... Talk about miserable. Go with a flash hider or anything else that exerts the gas DOWN range lol, not to the sides.

This. That’s why I recommended the Silencerco ASR FH. If you plan on using a specific can on it, then get a flash hider that works with that can. I use Silencerco cans, for the most part, so I use Silencerco devices.
