Microstamping revisited

Another interesting read... from an unlikely source for me... on the shortsighted attempts to restrict gun ownership. They keep coming from every angle. Are ballistics not enough in putting a bow on a crime scene investigation? Can microstamping make it easy to mislead attempts to resolve a crime scene? Draw your own conclusions.

Very interesting. The idea that a firing pin can micro-stamp identification information on a fired cartridge without creating some sort of data base or registry is stupidity. You and I both own Sig Mosquitos so it's pretty easy to look at the design of the firing pin on those and just wonder how effective stamping would be. It's all about pouring on restrictions and in the end confiscation.

That's why I keep writing those checks to the NRA.

microstamping is just another way to increase the cost of manufacturing to make the guns cost more....
The anti-gunners will try anything to make it more difficult to get firearms.... :-\
