I am now an official PA resident. Now that I switched my license over I have to get my PA firearms license. It takes about a month.

I'm looking for a sub compact as my EDC. I'm finding that I have to conceal better here in Philly due to all of the anti-gun police and hipsters. I'm currently looking at the Kahr CM, and M&P Shield. The Kahr is winning at the moment. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Took me about 2 weeks when I got mine. Could be different county though.

Be prepared to fill out the states version of a 4473 when you buy/transfer a handgun.

My cousin bought a Walther CCP and it shoots like a dream and the ergonomics blew my mind. We ran over 100rnds of tula the first day he got it with out even cleaning off the factory lube. Not a single issue.

It takes Philly forever to do it because how liberal they are. I'll look up the CCP.

Yeah... I live in the sticks lol but Maryland is pretty close.

Only thing I don't like about the CCP is the field stripping. First time is a PITA. Then once you get the hang of it it's ok.

I've owned both and the Shield wins hands down. The Kahr line feels like a compromise while the Shield and G43 represent the only "full featured" single-stack 9mm handguns on the market.

I like the XDs. The shield was my runner up after trying a bunch of single stacks.

When grabagun had them for $339 Springfield had a rebate for 3 extra mags with purchase. The 3 mags tipped the scale.

I had an XDM that I regret trading. it was a solid gun.

And with the XDs I can go 45ACP

Have/had both. The Kahr CM9 is more like a pocket pistol. I don't carry either if that tells you anything.
