Is a sig 226 really that much quieter of a host?

I can't really tell, but the 9mm 1911 I shoot is noticeably quieter.

I do think additional spring weight in a Glock helps seal the chamber better

My Gen 2 19 is noticeably quieter than my Gen 4 19 or Gen 3 17 were.

Interesting. Any idea why?

Ive heard glocks are loud hosts bc the tolerances are so loose more gas escapes without having to go through the can which results in more noise. Idk though

Only thing I can figure is recoil spring tension because the Gen 4 and Gen 2 had the same barrel in them. My Gen 2 is 100% original, never been to Glock.

Perhaps is has something to do with the older extractor that doesn't have the loaded chamber indicator on the Gen 2. I don't know, but it was a huge difference. I couldn't believe it.

tight tolerances aren't keeping noise in, its all about how much pressure is left in the barrel when the slide opens and action noise.

The GSG 1911 is specifically the one known for being so quiet. So I'm told.

Are you telling me that in all the times we have gone shooting you have never tried out my GSG-1911? Dude, we gotta fix that. That thing is stupid quiet. It is almost bolt action quiet.

I was greatly impressed with the G37 and Octane45 HD combo.
