It'd probably be worth having some hooks and fishing line, mainly because they could have alternative uses, and if you are in a situation where fishing is an option--voila.

What you haven't got suture kits in your first aid kit? That and skin glue are a must..I have enough equipment to preform some minor surgery with minimal space waste.

I do, but fishing line could be used as cordage in a pinch, would make for decent snare material, and could be used for sutures too. Also it's so light, why not.

I fish a lot better than I hunt, so it would be key for me. That is, assuming there's enough water nearby.

Probably not an option since in most scenarios, water will be one of the first resources to be contaminated. Every try to catch a three headed fish?
