IDPA at GA firing line

GA Firing Line does IDPA matches on Thursdays. Would anyone want to meet up and shoot a match? I have never done it before but think it would be fun, there is a Mexican place next door for some food and drinks afterwards. It's $15 to participate.

That kinda been my situation. From talking to folks though everyone is cool and it's not like you get laughed out of the room for doing poorly.

I know @dougiemac live up on that side of town too.

Yeah Ive been wanting to do one for a long time but would rather not go up there by myself. I have a buddy that has talked about going but never went through with it.

I'm interested... I've never shot IDPA or know what's involved, but I'm interested in learning and shooting with good people.

They do a new shooter meeting before the match, so I guess they go over some basics. Watching videos online it seems like it's pretty simple.

Steel core 5.45 is the preferred round at all indoor ranges.

My brother is a shooter and shoots with me regularly, also helps out with classes from time-to-time. Just trying to expand his horizons and improve his capabilities.

I'm working with him right now on getting his Triple Nickel.
