I love 870's

I like 870's also but prefer the Ithaca model 37 because I am left handed!

There is nothing like a Ithaca model 37. I have two. One is a Deer Slayer.

I have two also, both are deer slayers. One is a 20 gauge and the other is a 12. The 20 has dropped at least a dozen deer.

Never held or shot an Ithaca......but I would love to. They're bottom eject, correct?
No one in my shooting circles has one that I know of or I would have shot it. Mostly nice auto loaders, over under trap guns, and a few of us that shoot pumps. And one guy that shoots an OLD (mid 40's) model 12 .

Yes they are bottom eject. I converted both mine to left hand safeties and mounted scopes on them. The 20 has a short barrel and is light. Longest kill shot was 163 yards from a ground blind with shooting sticks and Hornady SST's. One shot, in fact I have only ever shot twice at a deer.
