In another forum, I ran across this very interesting YouTube video about the AR-15 in which the AR-15 is loaded with dirt in various ways and, for the most part, worked perfectly. I think anyone interested in the AR-15 platform should watch this.

That's a good video. I've seen it before, but its still entertaining. I like his channel, the Military Arms Channel. He also has a video named AK-47 Reliability where he does the same thing for the AK. He usually gives a pretty fair review.
Interesting video. Talk about weapons abuse. Back in the day I lugged around an M-16/GAU for years in various climatic weather conditions with constant exposure to heat, dust, artic like or monsoon weather. I never had any problems because I took care to ensure the weapon was properly maintained and operable. You take care of the weapon and the weapon will take care of you.
