I received an email this morning with a sneak peek at the Glock generation 5. It looks like Gen 2 lovers will have something to Rejoice about. It looks like they might be losing the finger grooves everybody complains about. According to the article there are also some 17L's and generation 4 C models on the way. Also, you might be interested about the new FS models that they're trying to work out with lipsey's. It will have both front and rear serrations on the slide. As I learn more I will update. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

Interesting... I see an ambi slide release on there.
Good eye! That is the 17M which is the military contract. I assume that was one of the requirements. As it is, I would buy one today if they released them.

You know, I've always heard the argument for/against the finger grooves... They've never bother me at all. Of course, I have zero trigger time with a Gen 1/Gen 2, so all I've ever known were the grooved grips.
Same here. The only thing I have an issue with is the trigger guard thickness. It needs an undercut. At least on the smaller framed Glocks. But I guess they opted to keep it. But I love the looks of the prototype. I hope to see them soon. I'll buy one.

I like the texturing on the Gen 4. It feels good to me. Particularly with no backstraps installed.

I really like the way the G43 feels in my hand with the pinky extension. I'm sure I'll end up with a blue label G43 in the near future.

I still haven't decided if I want to pay for a g43 yet or not. I have a g26 and a g42. So... If I want small and concealable I carry the g42, and if I want 9mm I carry the G26. But it would be nice to have both.....

I have a G30 that mostly sits in my glove box, I might actually carry a gun more often than not, if I get a G43. I'd be perfectly happy to carry a M4 all day but that makes you look like a jack ass.

I don't understand why the G43 is so much bigger than the G42. When my wife was looking at a new carry gun she wanted a G43 but it was too big for her to carry comfortably. The G42 is the perfect size. The G43 is basically just a single stack G26. IMO Glock really screwed the pooch making the G43 as big as it is.

That's why I still have a G42. I was gonna sell it and buy a G43 when they first came out. Then I saw how big they were. I'd never replace my G42 with one.
