45 70, not liking this new starline brass, its all over the place. Some are OK to size, others are "husky or Big boned" straight out of the bag and I can barely size them. Not uniform on sizing at all, from the factory. Lengths are good though.
Emailed starline, no response so far.
Before anyone says it yes I size even new brass, and as you can see its necessary.

What powder are you using?
That sounds like a good one! I use 46.7 grains of 4064 myself for my bulk 06
I weigh each load and it takes a While to load even 50 but it is so worth it to take my time and these Work Flawlessly in my Garand's and are very accurate out of my 1944 Garand that I compete with.
I purchased an electronic dispenser and it literally changed my life.......now I can load 2 boxes of match ammo at a box an hour including brass prep work . Excluding of course, cutting out flash holes and checking primer pockets in the first loading.
Looked into getting a Dispenser but never saw a Electronic one let alone heard how good they work.
I got a used Lyman, thanks NWS and it throws a powder charge in about the time it takes to seat a bullet. About 1 out of every 20 charges will not be withing + or - .1 and needs to be rethrown. You can try mine and see how you like it. If buying new I would ge an rcbs. Do you crimp for your semi autos?
Yes I do Crimp and thanks for the offer I will look into getting one if that is the variance in the amount of the powder.
You're right about the cost, that's for sure. I'm probably going to order 250 of the MAST loaded rounds from Palmetto State. They are 220 grain match bullets over who knows how much powder. Problem is, if they don't shoot worth a darn, I'll have about two hundred bucks worth of ammo to use up.
I've got a bunch of 168 SMKs, 149 grain Palma's, and some other miscellaneous .30 projectiles. I think I'd like to stick with the 200 grain and up for these since I will really only be shooting subsonic rounds.
