There's no reason to "panic buy" a pistol. Go for the Colt.

So.....as my final panic gun purchase should I buy another pistol (cz p01) or a Colt AR? Methinks an AWB is the most likely outcome of Clinton rule but who knows....
I'm thinking the most likely outcome is the end of private sales.

The only way you could do that is to create a registry....
Yep, NJ did it. It's a two for one for the antis. You have to register all of your guns that you've purchased prior to xx/xx/2017, and any that aren't on the registry need to be accompanied by paperwork that proves you lawfully acquired the firearm from a dealer. If you have any gun in your possession that you haven't registered or that does not have paperwork, you're going to prison. That's what they did. Fucking bastards.

Creating a registry would be incredibly simple for them. We provide all of the data, and if you don't.....felon.

Then it's just a few short steps....

Another 1000 rounds of copper plated .22lr for $39. That puts me at......quite a few rounds.

The only other thing I'd like is a Gray Frame G19. The prices "used " are stupid and I'm too lazy to drive up to CGP. Maybe weds I'll head up there and see.
I saw a new one today for 599. Not sure if that's an average or high price. Actually it was all gray.

How was the selection?

Actually pretty decent. You can't order the Field Grades any more and they had a dozen or more to choose from. I got a June 1941 Springfield (pre-war, yay!). The wood is rough but the '49 barrel reads a ME of 2 and TE of 4.

They had drill rifles there. National Match rifles. The funny ones chambered in .308. The specials that were basically rebuilt. They had both M1C and M1D sniper models, too.

The only drawback is they no longer ship to your home when you buy at the store. So you get to pay the 10% Alabama sales tax. Field Grade plus a GI sling was JUST under 700 bucks.

But the rumor going around is that they will be out of rifles by 2017 so, yeah, I stopped by the store - maybe for the last time...

This is the new store location, by the way. About a block or so from the old location.
