What's your favorite AR-15 30 rd magazine?

I've only tried PMAGs and USGI and both run fine for me. Just got some Troy battle mags from @Strider12 so I'm excited to try them out. I like USGI mags but they rattle too much. Any hack to that?

Anyone try:
Lancer
Hexmags
Elite Tactical
Daniel Defense

My lancer hybrid mags have been great. They feel the most solid of the lot.

PMAGs are obviously great. Haven't had any problems with GI mags either.

Lancer- no problems, feel sturdy and look cool
Hexmag-no problems but it feels cheap
Battlemags- no problems and the feel sturdy but I wish they had a little more texture to them.

Pro mags are total dogshit.

I've had pretty good luck with everything else.

I mostly use metal mags, though I seem to have accumulated a few dozen P-Mags. I have more AR Stoner than anything else, they work great. I have a bunch of C Products, ASC and some Tango Down 20 rounders that may or may not have materialized out of thin air. Also found a couple of random Tapco mags that I'm certain I never bought. The only mags I've ever had an issue with are the ProMags (long gone) and the .308 mags from ASC. I had to break out the Dremel to make the .308 ASCs work, but they're fine now.

I love Lancer mags but had one fail on me hard while shooting with @PewPewPewCo and haven't trusted them since. I mainly use Pmags although I do have a bunch of Troy mags that I bought when they were stupid cheap.

Had a full Pro Mag open up like a clam with ammo.

Damn. That's bad.

I haven't had issues with too many mags- but I have seem PMAGs fail to feed (pretty well used, but still). I don't shoot enough (as in thousands of rounds per year) to really have a good feel for a magazine evaluation. For my 100 round range trips, the metal mags (Stoner, OKay, Colt, even DSG) and PMAGs have been fine.

i got some of those i think. the ones with the pink followers? they work just fine.

i couldn't bring myself to buy more when they offered the pink lip stenciled mags...that was just too much for me lol.

if i recall, they were $6 apiece and a good deal imo.

The Troy mags suck. Stay away. They suck. If you pick them up and start walking toward the register, stop, put them down and leave. They suck.

USGI and pmags are the only thing I use these days. I had some Tango Down Arcs but when the are fully loaded the spring would get caught to the bottom and lose it's springiness... making all of the rounds in the mag spill out everywhere.

I'm a fan of Okay Industries USGI mags. Luckily I picked up a couple hundred of them a few weeks before Sandy Hook for dirt cheap(like $4/mag cheap). This reminds me, I need to go get them out of my storage unit.

@Righter13 had nothing but good things to say about them when he and his wife went through a carbine course.

Pmag, ETS, and metal GI is all I use. No issues yet. Still need to try out a Magpul D60.

I had a 60 round Surefire but never shot it.
