Probably right but it seems like the plane ran into the helicopter not the other way around.
I haven't been to an RC airfield in years, since before there were helicopters. That's kind of like saying "the car hit me, not the other way around" even though I was the one who ran the red light. I'm guessing the helicopter was a kid of one of the pilot dads who was messing around. They do have rules as well as etiquette for this very sort of thing. One of the things that got me out of flying RC was the hassle of always trying to find somewhere to fly, It takes a lot of space to fly a nitro plane with a 5 foot wing span. A baseball or football field is not sufficient. I steered clear of the RC clubs because they just take it too seriously. I'm more of a "roll that cooler of beer over here and let's see what this thing will do" kind of pilot. The one club that I did join used on of SuperSod's farms. Tons and tons of space and guys still running all over each other.

Figures it would be a cheapo ARS helicopter that would take it out!
