Ok... I'd never seen these before today:

They say loading and cleaning are the "pros"... I'm not sure this is a good idea at all.

That's stupid. Even doing them by hand it's not that hard to load one and that one would probably take longer trying to get them lined up right.

How is loading simplified? I'll stick with my uplula
You ask your friend that's checking it out to go ahead and load a "few" rounds in it to see the neat thing it can do.

I had one a number of years ago that came with a gun on trade. It was unremarkable, but worked fine.

Who cleans mags?

You gotta be a real pussy not to be able to load and clean a standard AR mag.

Who the fuck buys these?

True story- I was at the range with a friend of mine several years ago and I saw him loading an AR mag like it was a pistol mag- sliding the rounds in from the front.

I was like "no, no no- watch this" and showed him how to press the rounds in from the top- then he had this "WTF have I been doing" look on his face... it was priceless.

I admit to using a strip-lula loader from time to time but only because it makes loading quicker if you're in a hurry. Plus, if you have 556/223 on a stripper clip, you can load a full mag in seconds.
