Being that I became interested in the AR15 rifle during the 94 AWB Olympic Arms always held a soft place in my heart with their big middle finger to Clinton by changing their rifle to the "PCR-15" PCR of course standing for "Politically Correct Rifle."

Today I stumbled across one of the Olys replaced by the Jacksonville Sherrifs Office a few years ago due to malfunctioning triggers.

The rifle was made in 2004 during the AWB but since it was police sales it still bears all of the banned evil features as well as a LEO only stamp. The LE guns also came with M16 carriers and the Oly SS match grade barrels.

This carbine has the been there done that look from years of police service, still wears it's original fiberlite stock, a free floated Oly branded FIRSH rail, and a very low JSO serial number. The FCG has of course been replaced with a brand new SS FCG.

I brought her home and threw some ban era accessories I had in my parts box on it. Thinking I need to find an old SWANN crane mount and aimpoint 1000.

Anyway, not something you see every day.

Yeah, the special edition model that fired 55gr sideways

I don't remember that but I don't remember a lot.

This one might, I'll probably never know since I rarely shoot anything I doubt I'll ever shoot this one either.

What’s the SS fcg about?

Read the link. Apparently the dept came up with some BS about them just "going off" and had GT buy them back and replace them....after 16 years.

Da bullits tumble so they wound not kill.
God! Haven't heard the "designed to wound but not kill" line in a while. I'm prolly gonna be driving my in-laws crazy saying it over the holidays. Hopefully it will join the other running tagline my nephew and I use, "That's known to the state of California to cause cancer" . We pop that one every time somebody in the family holds up something and says, "Look what I got!". Yeah, brown liquor and being an asshole are how I get through the family events.
