Commercial vs. MilSpec stock/buffer tubes

I have an HK 416 22lr rifle and I assume that it is a commercial buffer tube/stock. Will a MilSpec stock fit on the commercial buffer tube? I know one fits the other but not the inverse. Any input would be appreciated. I am thinking of getitng the MFT Battlelink minimalist stock but want to make sure I get the right model.

commercial and milspec aren't compatible

need to check the interwebz or measure your buffer tube.

edit: chance below is right. while the commercial stock will technically fit a milspec tube, it will not fit well.

Commercial tubes are larger OD, because it makes them considerably cheaper to manufacture.

So a commercial stock would probably fit on a mispec tube, but it rattle all to hell.
