Dammit! I forgot I started this thread.

I ended up just buying a cheap Tasco 3-9x32 off of Amazon. Just a basic duplex reticle, gonna set it and forget it and teach him how to use Kentucky windage.

I recently bought 2 Tasco's from Amazon - a 2.5-10x and a 6-24x. Seem ok for my needs (mainly need a raised sight to shoot right-handed using my left eye, scope seems to be fine for that).
So far the only problem I've had is the windage knob came loose, shooting a 10/22. And I didn't have a 1.5mm hex wrench with me at the range.
