I'm out of good scopes at the moment... unless you want a Barska 3-9x40 that didn't seem to hold zero on a .30-06 bolt gun. Seemed to work fine on a 10/22. You can have that one for the cost of shipping. Buyer beware.

I appreciate the offer. I think I'm going to get the nikon or vortex. Still not sure.

I like the idea of something that I buy being made in the good ol' USA. It's not the key determiner or anything, just makes me feel a little better about my purchase.

Leupold bought the Redfield name a few years back. They are the "economy" line but are still made in Oregon and have a lifetime warranty.

With all that and your price point in mind you may want to consider...

Of those two, I'd go with the Nikon. I had one of their P223 4-12x40 scopes on a Remington 700 SPS Varmint and it was an excellent scope for the money.

Not truly %100 made in the USA. At the very least the aluminum and glass are imported. You won't see any scopes say "made in the USA" in 2018 with the new rules that were just passed.

i've seen used nikon monarchs get close to 300, burris also has some good options at that price point

I decided to go with the nikon p308. I think being a budget ar10 it fits well. I cant wait to shoot it. I'm going to kill a deer with it this year.
