Recipe Brisket

Decided to do a brisket in the oven. Rubbed it down with some garlic, onion, black pepper, salt, and cayenne. Started it out at 450 for the first 30 minutes, then dropped temp to 310. Let the bad boy roll on since 6:30 last night.

How it's looking at 10:30 this morning. It's starting to get tender but not melt in your mouth yet.

This is my actualy my first one. I had been threatening doing it for weeks, so I'm hoping it'll turn out okay. It's always good to know that brisket is one of the hardest cuts do to right. Ha!

When I used to help my dad smoke them, he usually had the best luck at Walmart of all places. Not too much fat, not too little.

Finished product. Took it out about 3:30 this afternoon. Talking my in your mouth!
Next up is a beer can chicken.
