Shot my Big Boy .44 mag carbine today for the first time. Short distance just to try the feel at about 45 feet. I was hitting about 12 inches high. Do I need to look at adjusting the sites or was I just to close for that rifle?

Sounds like you may want to try again at a further distance like 100 feet or so to see how it goes. 45 feet is pretty close for a carbine i would think, but it should also be pretty accurate no matter the distance.

If you're still 12 inches high, then its time to adjust the sights, or see if your technique is off somehow.

Agreed, try at about 50 yards and see where you're sitting

Thanks. Three of us all had same groups at short distance. I will try farther. Just didn't expect that much rise.
