Best .380 self defense ammo

Its been a long time since I've read about this so what are you using in you .380 for self defense. I've started carrying my glock 42 more lately because its convenient and I know the velocity of the .380 limits expansion/penetration. Is there anything new worth looking at?

Hornady has a couple good offerings. I used their Critical Defense ammo in my Makarov.

My primary choice for .380 is Cor-Bon DPX.

Never tried their .380 ammo but I've heard great things about the Lehigh Defense Extreme Penetrator ammo. They make some pretty badass ammo. Our booth was right next to theirs at the IV8888 range day. Great guys with some very innovative products.

I like the Lehigh Defense 90gr Xtreme Penetrator. Watch the ballistics tests, from them and 3rd parties. Interesting projectile and cause for surprisingly large wound channels.

Didn't they give you a box of it at the IV8888 range day or was that the 9mm?

Both lol. And more than one box of each I've since done a lot of research and like that projectile a lot. They run fine in my 19 and 42 also.

these are what I like best. you get really good penetration and a just like you said a much larger wound channel than I expected

Yupp it was a good idea for underpowered rounds. They seem to perform pretty well.
