What are your opinions on a molle mounted knife?

What are you running?

I am thinking something along these lines. Though I would prefer to have the knife mounted horizontally.

So you're carrying a multi tool on your battle belt?
Yep. Fits nicely, handy for quick fixes...then I'm not without a stabby mcstabberson if I had to drop the belt. If I don't have a carrier...the spiderco, or benchmade folder is on my person all the time....all.the.time. Works for me...ymmv.

Are you more interested in carrying a knife on your backpack or rucksack? Or on your person?

Well I edc a kabar horizontal in an nsr tactical sheath. When I go battle belt I will carry a knife in the pocket, though would like a primary on the belt.

As far as a bag goes I would also have one there, but ideally I wouldn't have a large bag with intended purpose of the battle belt. It would be more like a day pack for the most part.

So I was at SMKW yesterday on the way home. Found something that interested me enough to buy. It's a Gerber "survival" style knife, multi directional sheath, rubber grip knife. I am going to find a home for it with on the chest rig or belt. Will get more pictures of it once I figure that out.

I may be looking for a molle mount for the sheath as the belt looks are for a standard size belt. 20210225_093938.jpg

So finally got some free time to get this mounted. Ended up with the g code molle clips, great product to work with and very versatile. Mounted on the left front of belt for now, though I may move some things around after I get some use with it. View attachment 121895 View attachment 121896

I got that same knife as part of a trade... i like the over molded handle much better than an unwrapped ESEE Izula handle. For a small blade, it's very capable.
