Trouble with NICS system. I spoke to a gun store that said the approvals are getting delayed 15-20 days on a none CC submittal. Apparently the answer as to why was the flooding in FLA has caused the system to overload with the submittals from FLA. They are going through them first then all others fall in behind them. Hmm or does it have anything to do with the fact we are closer to Election Day. If you don't have CC permit go get it cause you can walk in and walk out with the purchase of firearms that are non NFA that day. Just curious if anyone else has heard of this as well.

That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. 15-20 days?

15-20 days? That doesnt even make sense. Theres 3 answers on a NICS check. Proceed, Delay, and Denied. If you get delayed, it means the FBI has 72 hours to investigate further. If the dealer doesnt hear back from them after 72 hours, they are legally allowed to move forward and sell the firearm to the buyer. No need to wait 15-20 days

The store said they are coming up delayed on a lot of submittals the past month. Wonder if it's a store thing or statewide thing. I carry my CC permit in and out in 10-15 minutes the last one I bought.
