(A mini arcade machine anyway)

Picked this up on Walmart’s website and did a few mods. Now it has light up buttons, stereo sound and 20k games installed.

Yes, you read that right..... it has 20 THOUSAND games on it. Everything from early 80’s text-based computer games all the way up to PlayStation 1 games.

My six-year-old nephew playing “Excitebike” from the original Nintendo. This mini arcade cabinet is the perfect size for him to stand up and play.

Nice! I might could at least get my kids to stand up to play video games with something like that...
My daughter who is about to turn 15 thinks these “old school” arcade and console games are BORING. She likes Ms Pac Man, but that’s about it.

Younger kids on the other hand have a blast with this thing!

I’m 42 and grew up on the original Nintendo and blowing my allowance in the arcades. Obviously I have to sit down at this machine (or set it on an end table to raise it up to standing height) but I’ve logged a bunch of time on this machine since I put it together.

Need to modify it to only accept quarters so you can get the kids to do some "chores" around the house for video game money. Also will allow you to recoup the cost from the neighbor's kids.:)
BRILLIANT!

OK, so now we know where you've been spending your time! "For the kids", sure. :pound:
Oh it was definitely for ME! I have already put countless hours on it. I can FINALLY beat all the old arcade games that I played as a kid, but never had enough quarters to finish!

I’ve already beat “Golden Axe” and “Vendetta”

“Ghost -N- Goblins” is still kicking my ass all these years later though, unlimited plays or not.

It’s actually possible to do that. I’ve currently got it wired up to add game credits by simply pushing a button, but you can get fully functional coin doors that accept real money.

Being the old man that I am, I have no fucking clue what any of this means. o_O

Nice!!! Is it running off a Raspberry Pi? I got mine up and running, still a few problems with N64 games running smooth. I've thought about building an arcade cabinet to house it.
