Anyone experience any real benefit to these different options and how they perform with a can in place?

Same...different?

Price points vary drastically and wondered specifically about the brakeout 2.0 and if it lowered recoil, but was louder in return what that translates into once the can is on.

I've used both and currently run the 2.0 on a couple of uppers. With the can on, there's no discernable difference. But without it, the 1.0 and 2.0 are very different. The original brakeout was a teeth rattling flamethrower, with large amounts flash to both sides and right in the middle of your FOV. In low light (late afternoon), it would practically blind you. It is an effective brake, but has all the downsides too.

The 2.0 works probably 95% as well as the original, in terms of muzzle control. But it is significantly better overall, with less flash (very minimal, if any) and less blast / concussion.

That's good info man. Been thinking of changing out my standard AAC flash hider for something else, but wanna justify the cost/benefit.
