380 expansion test

I shot some Winchester PDX 1 and some Hornady Critical Defense today. Both were 95gr factory loads. I was able to recover one of each. Test medium was gallon water jugs covered in denim. Both rounds expanded well and penetrated 3 jugs. I recovered the PDX about 4" in the dirt backstop. I found the CD about 3' away laying on the ground as seen in the picture below.

Both of these were shot from my TCP. It's always in my pocket and I prefer it to my LCP for several reasons.

Anyway. If anyone cares, pics below.

Damn. I bought a couple cases of 9mm Aguila hps from AIM a few years back. They look like the same bullet. I hope they perform better than that.

I alternate rounds between CD and Buffalo Bore hard cast. Expansion's nice, but 14-15" of penetration is too!

Those damned aguilas. I bought them dirt cheap, I guess I'll dump them at the range and buy more HST's.
