Welcome. This was once a semi a thriving forum and may be again one day. I check in at least once a month (or two) to blow off some of the dust that has accumulated.

Couple thinking about converting to all gold? Anybody got change for a 1 oz. American Gold Eagle for a sack of potatoes? I like silver for ease of transactions where 'minor' stuff is involved. If I don't have to 'over show' my 'wealth', I won't.

It wasn't that long ago (in my mind) that silver was around $5 an ounce and we were scrambling around at a coin show in Charlotte, NC in search of more (90%, bullion, ASE, ML, etc.) as a rumor that Warren Buffet wanted five to six million ounces of silver at $6 an ounce. We were gonna be rich!!!!

Trade/barter material: gold or silver. I still like Hershey bars and nylons, but call me old fashioned! :)

Set a limit...I did that, but got drunk way before I reached it!
