Nambu Type 94 - reminds me of a Ruger

Some folks do stamps, I do firearms. On some of the old stuff, like the Colts, S&Ws, Ivor Johnsons, H&Rs, Mosin Nagants and Remington's, I could write a book on. I create a folder for my acquisitions, with photographs, history and relevant information. It helps with the insurance. The Nambu...

Nambu Type 94 - reminds me of a Ruger

The young fellow that handles their sales department is a great guy. He's also a Range Rat, which goes in line with his being a Vet and served in Iraq. We talk a lot of guns stuff. But he's more into the modern stuff but knows that I'm a collector. He also knew what he had his hand on and would...

Nambu Type 94 - reminds me of a Ruger

A friend and I were out making the rounds this afternoon and getting lunch. I walked into a local gun shop. The fellow's who worked there exclaimed "Man have we got something for you!" He walks around to the back and comes out with... A Japanese WWII Nambu, Type 94, 8 mm pistol. It was in...

    Paint job gone bad!

LOL. Funny stuff. Send a copy to Feinstein maybe she'll get some clue about the lever selection on semi-auto versus an actual assault rifle.

    A must-have .22 cal

Neat. I have a Sig Mosquito .22LR that started out as a picky beast. As long as she was getting fed CCI MiniMags she worked just fine. Anything else and she became a single shot. But after I polished the feed ramp with a couple of thousand rounds she straightened out. As long as it was high...

Ok, I guess I'm not the only one

But you are the only one!!! Far be it from me to condescend to your obsession for air guns :D Never mind. Just kidding. I actually own a Gamo Whisper that I bought back in June of 2009. I had a problem with some tree rats that were devastating my back garden. I tried all sorts of non-lethal...

    .22 cal. range report

Good move on calling the cops and leaving the road rage scene. Interesting about your observations of the two ladies. We live in some strange times and you never know who or what you're going to run into on a gun range. You could have introduced yourself and commended them on their...

Range trip: Four 380's get an outing

You betcha! It's only April, by July/August it will be an oven in there. I under lubed the Walther and it stuck up. Next time out I'll pop some slide lube on it. I always bring an extra shirt, in the warms months, and wash up before heading out for home or a stop along the way. Of course living...

    Chechnyans...wow

April 19, 1776 – people at Lexington and Concord confronted several companies of soldiers of the British Army – the largest military force in the world. April 19, 2013 – people in Boston and surrounding communities cowered and “sheltered in place” because of ONE man. The nanny state at its...

"All the people in that Watertown neighborhood, hiding, doors locked. ... How many of them, do you think -- and worried that this guy might get into their home, maybe take them hostage -- how many of them, do you think, might like a gun? To be able to protect themselves and defend their homes."...

Range trip: Four 380's get an outing

With the Summer heat here in South Carolina going down in caliber has it's perks. In the fall and winter it's a different story. Since the LC380 and the Walther have longer range capabilities the LCP becomes a BUG.

    Chechnyans...wow

America like England and other countries have a long history of allowing people to seek political refugee status from injustice at the hand of oppressive governments. Muslim Chechnya's folks have been allowed such refuge, but we may have let some wolves in by mistake. While Washington D.C. is...

    Chechnyans...wow

These two guys walked through the crowds at the finish line and sat their bags down, while no doubt looking some of their victims in the face. There is no rhyme, reason or pacification with a mentality of that sort. It wasn't some inept shoe or diaper bomber this time. It was an assault on a...

Agreed. Just read me the NEWS. Not edited sound bites, followed by "discussion" between a bunch of other Talking Heads, who are paid consultants.

Range trip: Four 380's get an outing

You betcha it was a great trip. I bought the Winchester 380 ammo back in October 2012. I started stocking up, after I bought the Walther PPK S-1. I had some vibes about how the election was going and well remember what things were like in 2008.

Range trip: Four 380's get an outing

It was raining in SC this afternoon. So what the heck? I called a friend and we set up a range trip. I took along a Ruger LCP 380, a Walther PPK S-1 and a Ruger 380. His wife's out of town until the weekend so he drags along an Ruger LC380, a S&W Body Guard & a GSG 1911 22LR. I put 7 rounds...
