Biggest con to a plate carrier is cost. If it were me, because this is my plan, is to buy a chest rig that you can attach to a plate carrier. Then save your pennies and buy a carrier down the road. I am leaning toward a haley strategic chest rig and then down the road buy a carrier and the chest...

Kahr is the only double action pistol I ever liked.

With the small backstrap it feels better than the VP9 or even a G19 to me.

i only have one gripe with the USP. The barrel length and mag capacity seemed low for the size of the gun. Not a deal breaker by any means but just something that bothered me.

I’ve been a pretty die hard Glock guy for a long time. But I do like how this feels in the hand better than the glocks I’ve had. I don’t think I’ll replace my 43 with a shield, but for full size guns I may never go back to glocks.

This is the full size. I don’t know if I will get the compact since the grip has a very aggressive texture and I don’t see myself carrying it IWB so I’m not sure the smaller size of the compact would help me. I also see this as a drawback to the shield 2.0

so I traded into a M&P 2.0 yesterday. After fondling it yesterday I think I am in love. Fits my hand great, points naturally, and the trigger is WAY better than the first gen M&P. I can’t wait to go shoot it.

Just dip the whole gun in a bucket of paint. That way the paint can get into all the little spots spray wont get to.

If it were me I would decide if it was more important to have a nice HD shotgun or a nice hunting shotgun, then buy a less expensive gun for the other role. For example if HD was your main concern then buy a nice 1301 Tactical or 590a1 for HD and a Stoeger semi auto or 870/500 for hunting.

It’s less about cycling and more about feeding. I’ve owned a couple guns over the years that hollow points would hangup on the feed ramp.
