That's all I've got to go on at the moment- I'm sure I'd like the optic as low as possible in the slide, that's for sure.

I haven't really done any research yet- I didn't know the optic could sit lower on a milled slide- that's a big plus. I don't really do GSSF because I don't have any bone stock pistols. The local matches don't care what you bring- you can "run what ya' brung" in unlimited/open classes.

Ok... so I've become somewhat hampered by my own lack of technology. I've shot red dots on pistols a lot, and they're moderately accurate (plenty for handgunning) and fast as hell. I generally shoot a Gen3 G34 in matches. And it does fine, but I'd be quicker with a red dot instead of irons...

The 500 rounds I got were nice and clean and shot well. Powder is slightly smoky compared to the 4895 that I'm used to, but not bad.

I have been buying that Malaysian surplus that is available right now- shoots pretty darn good in my Rem 700.

Interesting- I did not expect that to be the way things happened. I have to wonder if the Feds are as backlogged as the local courts. My wife used to complain about it often.

Never heard of them before... but I did notice it weighs a pound and a half... kind of a lot for a 1-4 optic, but then again, I don't have anything to compare that to. That Millet DMS 1-4 I put on an AR weighed it down a ton.

I'd go with the 9mm... I just like the lines of it. Never held one in person.

I shot one years ago back when they were relatively new... cool gun, doesn't hardly move from recoil, but the huge "paddle squeezer" trigger thing wasn't something I liked at all- I could see it for a full auto gun where you would be gripping it anyway, but no good for the semi-auto I shot.

I'm out of good scopes at the moment... unless you want a Barska 3-9x40 that didn't seem to hold zero on a .30-06 bolt gun. Seemed to work fine on a 10/22. You can have that one for the cost of shipping. Buyer beware.

You realize I just sold a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 for $110, right?
