Yeah, Gold Dots USED to be the standard. Not the case anymore, even with their G2 Gold Dot lineup. Still a decent round, but there's much better out there.

Which is now not any better than 9mm with modern ammo. We have come a long way as far as SD ammo goes in even the last 5 years, not to mention the 15-20 years since the GAP was created(still not really sure WHY it was created, but I digress).

Nobody makes a decent, modern, .45 GAP round though. I don't think anybody has even bothered to bring the GAP to the current standards that SD ammo is held to now. I mean, why even bother? I'd take my 16/21 rounds of Underwood 9mm +p/+p+ 90gr Extreme Defenders over any GAP round.

Everyone I've talked to that has a .45 GAP loves it too. I guess I just don't get it. I've shot a GAP before and it sucked. Had the recoil of a .40, was as loud as a .357 Sig and the ballistics of 9mm with the capacity of a .45?

Never really heard much about them. Seems like all you saw there for a while were O-PAP's or N-PAP's. What's the difference between the 3. I know that one of them doesn't have a bulged trunnion. Does the non-bulged trunnion model still have a 1.5mm thick receiver?
