That WASR shoots super soft now between the recoil buffer and the zig zag brake on there! I have that set up for him to be able to shoot it comfortably. My triangle folder is a different beast with just a thread protector on there...and it shoots a huge fireball out the end of it too, lol.

His face after he shot the first round out of the WASR, lol. He got used to it quick though. There was another guy with his son in there who was about the same age, maybe a little bit younger than my son. It's great to see kids getting into and enjoying the shooting sports.

100% agree. An 8" AR is better than no AR because you couldn't fit your 18" SPR in a bag and carry it around with you.

I understood what you were saying. I just don't get the "do you wanna stand in front of it" argument. Wasn't comparing it to .22LR at all. It's more like a .177 pellet gun. Just kidding. I absolutely agree that short barrels have their place. For me personally though, anything under 11.5" is...

Would you want to run out in front of a bullet that came from a 2" barreled AR with the bullet tumbling as soon as it exits the barrel? I wouldn't. I also wouldn't want to run out in front of a .22LR, but that doesn't mean I'd carry one either.

I'll refrain from posting my thoughts on Spikes since they've helped us out before here with our first run of SET lowers and it looks like they are probably gonna do the 2nd run too if/when we ever get them made.
