I've had several AR10s. I've probably owned an example of most modern or semi modern firearms currently available, and some fairly esoteric stuff as well. You're welcome to shoot my FALs, but my opinions are borne of experience. The first AR pattern rifle I ever bought was an Armalite AR10.

I've got much,much less in my FAL made from hammer forged parts that takes the same shit as every other FAL made. I'm not trying to convince you that a FAL or SCAR is better for you...but as for me I'll take standardized, forged, proven parts. Best I can shoot is 2-3 MOA with irons on anything...

Proprietary parts ...which wouldnt be an issue if it werent an AR. One of the big draws of the AR is modularity. AR10s just arent quite as rugged as they should be. Even the SR25. Like I said earlier, if I buy something I want the practical best. AR10s in general just arent there yet . Perfectly...

That's tough. Well, not really. For the price you can get a well build FAL vs a SCAR 17 I'd say FAL. But, if SCAR 17s were $2500ish when I first had one years ago and it was only ONE, I'd go SCAR. Now the wildcard is the Galil 308. For a good FAL you'll pay 1600ish, the galil 308 is about 1700...
