Same basically. My mom has (had) 6 or 7 brothers and sisters. I've met one aunt, 2 cousins and my grandmother. If I could go back in time, I'd have spent more time getting to know them. But as it stands, I know nothing about any of them also.

I think it's interesting how my great-grandfather's nickname was Shine, because he was always smiling and happy. You know how they say things skip generations...my dad and I didn't get that happy gene apparently but I definitely see it in my son. I wish I could be like that but I'm not wired...

Yep. And distance too. I never wanted to go when I was younger but I'd like to now. I have a lot of aunts and uncles and cousins apparently.
