Is that rear sight standard on those guns? I’d like to get something like that for my rifle! Part of my accuracy problem with it is that the rear sight was totally blurry, just a fuzzy area that I saw the front sight through. No way to line anything up reliably

The HG is tight inside the metal, It’s the gas tube that rattles. Thanks for the info, I’ll get on that tonight. Right now I’m parked at Hi Calibre', I’m waiting on cabinet parts that just got painted to dry before I put them in my truck, so I’m gonna run a couple mags through this thing...

My gas tube rattles now that I don't have the Hogue and plastic HGs on it... Is the only solution Paki tape? Or is there another part I'm missing? Maybe some sort of springy thingy inside the metal upper HG?

And what happened to the grenade sight? Someone clip it short to keep it from rubbing the HG?

What is ‘Paki Tape’, and what is its purpose?

Looks Great! What’s the difference in the AB2T? Only thing I see is where your grenade sight doesn’t meet the upper hg. Which is shorter? Does T designate Tanker model? Looks like you sanded the finish? Did you reblue it, or was that hiding under the parkerized finish?

I could trade you a bolt gun for a bolt gun - Mosin Nagant for that Arisaka. Then you’d have a Rus gun - and another tent pole!
