    What I really like about it is if you get it right, it will be perfectly medium or medium rare since the oil cooks evenly around the whole thing. And if you want it well done like some ppl I know, you can do that too.

    I bought a couple thick NY Strips that were already steaks. I can't find the batter/breading anymore that I liked, it was Larry the Cable Guy brand. The only thing is I had to plate it and eat it quick before the juices softened up the breading, I like it crispy...

    I gotcha. I only have 2 also. I didn't get the coupled kind. They've been loaded for over a year with no issues and they drop free from all the ARs I've had. I wonder if you got a pair from a bad batch. In fact, those are the 2 I have loaded on my nightstand for my SD AR
