A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

    1. Correct. My goal is to get out of harms way as quickly as possible. If I were obese or in a wheelchair I'd carry spare mags, but I'm not. 2. Who has a long gun at the scene of a crime? Cops and Criminals. If your not a cop, then they'll assume you're the criminal. It's that simple. 3...

A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

    1. No, I don't carry back up mags most of the time. 2. Cops rarely see people open carrying long guns, and if they do I'm guessing they'll be suspicious. At the scene of a shooting you're going to be perceived as a bad guy, how could they know otherwise? Do you think you could give them the...

A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

If you're on the scene of a crime with a long gun, you're going to be perceived differently. It sounds a bit internet commando to think that the cops will ask you to join in the shootout because you tell them you're a good guy. Do I carry additional mags? No, not usually. My house is secured...

A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

I'd do the same if I got my family to safety first, but the situation gets sticky when you go back into a situation and you're armed, especially with a long gun. Will LE on the scene perceive you as a threat? Probably.

A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

As law enforcement you can legally justify going to a car and going back to engage a suspect, as a citizen you've crossed the line from self defense to........something else, and a decent attorney will exploit that.

A Truck Gun, Fantasy or Reality - GRYlife Article

Great article man, and I agree with the sentiment regarding truck guns. The only scenario where I'd find value in one was where I forgot to bring a firearm as I were fleeing a dangerous environment in my vehicle, and I can't imagine I could do that. Just about ever "stolen gun" thread I've...

    SBR upper?

Yeah, good point. You should always have that upper ready and available that will put the rifle into the condition to which it was registered.

    SBR upper?

You'd better get your ass in gear. We're at some serious lows price wise right now and everyone seems to be searching for a bottom before buying. That's a classic scenario that results in a rapid increase in prices....and we know it's coming. Personally, if I were building one I'd grab a...

Tell the guy about the Taurus Raging Hornet. That'd give him a bit more punch, if he wants it.

Mags and Ammo here. If I could scrounge up $3500 I could be all done in one fell swoop.

    What causes a light strike?

The armorer I talked to said to periodically spray some gun scrubber through the channel. They call the hole at the the bottom of the channel the "shit hole", where any lube or residue can be flushed out. The fit with the firing pin and the channel is relatively tight, and any lube will cause...

    What causes a light strike?

If you get lube in the firing pin channel, that can slow it down enough to cause light strikes.
