Did you not see the Operator Tattoo on his leg, So glad I just pointed that out as you would never surprise him as his Operator senses would have been tingling.
Just Saying
Mine are from a pallet of them I bought back in the day.
Also have 2 NIB Norinco Ak's From the 80's too.
One is an Underfolder and the other is wood stock (these are the ones people are selling for 1800 plus).
I bought these for 200.00 each back then.
To get Gouges out (most of them) I steam them with a Iron and a cloth soaked in water to make the steam, just make sure the cloth does not get dry as you steam the stock.
This process will make you have to refinish the stock though.
There is a way to get it out but it involves in Stripping the stock and refinishing it.
I use Tilex Mold and Mildew formula and it strips it down to the wood.
In the winter I have put the stock next to the fire place and let it sweat out that way too.
Make sure if you do this to have the end on the ground in a Pot to keep the cosmo from dripping on the floor (ask me how I know LMAO).
I used Boiling water and a Concrete Mixing Pan from Home Depot and that got the biggest part of the Cosmo off.
Then I used Kerosene to finish up the cleaning.
