Right now they're required to wear face coverings just like I am. I have no idea how you're supposed to do depot-level maintenance on an airframe while wearing a mask, safety glasses and earplugs...Glad to have that behind me although I actually do miss the work and camaraderie

Well he mentioned respirators. We had rubber respirators with replaceable paper filters but they worked well enough to keep me from breathing in the fumes. If I didn't wear the respirator, I'd be burping fuel all day and that night I'd wake up with terrible shakes and shivers followed by...

I feel differently, having used them in fuel tanks on the flightline. They helped me out a bunch.
