Every damn year... right before Christmas... something big breaks. Last year was $3k on an air conditioner. This year fridge. All we've wanted to do is replace the 2 burner cooktop for years now... and have planned to at Christmas. Not that I'm bitching too much. We have the cash to fix...

Did that first, but only for 30 seconds or so. GE says to unplug for 5 minutes. And you can hold down all 4 temperature control buttons for 3 seconds to start diagnostic mode. That's next. Maybe i didn't miss all the black Friday sales.
