The best pen sized light I’ve found is the Streamlight Stylus Pro. I found two over the years and loved them. Bright for the size. Rugged (one was found in the road after obviously being ran over multiple times) decent battery life. All around impressed. I still prefer my 1L-1AA though.

That’s typically how I feel. If it cycles cheap shit, it should cycle good stuff. I honestly don’t worry about rotating out my carry ammo. Typically I’ve carried the same ammo for years. It still went bang every time I pulled the trigger.

I test accuracy and basic reliability with the ammo I carry (couple mags through at normal rate, couple rapid fire) then run some of the cheap ammo through it. I know I should do more.

Cool factor, go for a SPAS. Reliability, Go for a Benelli. I would NEVER choose the SPAS for fighting if given a choice. Even in pump. My Benelli M2 eats anything and has never failed to cycle anything I’ve fed it. Even after 500 rounds of the cheapest garbage low brass birdshot.
