When I hear people bash a particular brand of gun, especially a brand known for accuracy and longevity, all I can think is that they need formal instruction in pistol marksmanship.

The Army really should quite dicking around with compromises. Nobody wants to carry a .308 on a patrol and there's no need. In my mind, the ideal would be to maintain the M4 for POGs, increase the quantity and quality of SDMs and give them all a solid semi auto 308 while issuing MP7s to people...
