The AMD 65 gas tube is for sure shorter. The AMD 63 was a wood stock version so it might have used a standard gas tube? @slapshut

Grips and lower hg are FEG. Gas tube is interesting. No HG retainers but I think it's longer than a FEG gas tube...not sure about the stock but it matches the grips so it could possibly be Hungarian as well...

Just bought a set of new tires for $750 shipped. NOS Dunlops. Hopefully good tires. $750 now or $1200-$1500 later. Guess I'll bite the bullet now.
