That’s what I ran in my AR-9. With the KAK extended heavy 9mm buffer.

9mm gen 2 with the threaded barrel for sure. This was a Gen 1 .40 non-threaded.

Meant to say my IO HAD..... I paid decent money for it when I first got into AKs, then was THRILLED to have a guy offer me a sub2k .40 for it.

My IO has the rear trunion riveted too far back. I would shoot it and the dust cover would fly off and hit me.
