Walmart refuses to sell shotgun to woman, says it's 'Too much gun'

I saw a story where they talked to other people that were working there and apparently there is more to the story, up to and including the part where the manager escorted them out the front of the building.

A new rifle may be in my future

Thanks guys. I was aware that there was a difference between the two but recently researched it a little deeper to find out why. You are correct mukwah, the Ruger Mini 14 manual says that both are acceptable for the Mini 14. It has a lot of things going for it AND it is a Ruger, which for me is...

Another mystery for the gang to solve....

Just saw this thread for the first time. Great gun!

A new rifle may be in my future

I am leaning pretty hard that direction as of now. It seems that Ruger has made some improvements to all of the Mini 14 barrels and the target model takes it one step further with the heavy barrel and tuner. I need two more things though: 1. I need to go handle one. 2. I need to put together the...

    Kimber Solo - what's up?

I think when many Europeans release the mag they drop the gun with it. :D

    Kimber Solo - what's up?

Jams are still an issue. Apparently they have worked on magazine and feed ramp but the most common problem that I am hearing is jaming on 2nd or 3rd round. My wife's "step" grand father was on the waiting list and finally got the call to pick it up. He passed.

You can also see it on the Ruger website. It is the Mini 14 target version, but it is the one with the Hogue stock. I don't like thumbhole stocks.

I need to build up a little cash, but it is between that and an AR. That may be the one.

    Reloading forums

Agreed. I can't imagine anyone reloading without some serious supervision when they start, but I am sure that some buy a press and the other goodies, visit a website, and have at it. While we are all in favor of 2nd amendment rights. Sadly, some people also reserve the right to be really stupid...

Load data for .380 and 9mm

The only .380 I have is the LCP, so that is what I have used the ammo in. My buddy uses the same in his Bersa.

When you guys get a chance, check out the Ruger Mini 14 Target model with harmonic tuner on the barrel. The tuner is used to fine tune your rifle to your ammo and to tighten up the groups. The gun can be shot with or without the tuner. It will shoot 1 inch groups and Jeff does a nice review on...

A new rifle may be in my future

Agreed Skip. What I like about the AR, if what I read is true, is that a good quality AR is more accurate than the Mini 14 or the AK. That is the one knock on both of them. Of course, a fairly big part of that is that both come with a trigger that is not very good. So let me add a question...

A new rifle may be in my future

I didn't know they made a 5.56 either until I ran across it on a gun website I was looking at. I hear you framedcraig 1. I really like Saiga, but there are some undeniable pluses for the Ruger Mini 14. It is a Ruger. It is American made. As many as they have sold, they must be a pretty good gun...

I am also taking a good look at the Saiga 5.56. It is an AK style and would be a matching sister to my shotguns, which means I would already be very familiar with it. I definitely like the Saiga shotguns.

Those are cool for sure. I am back and forth on the tactical vs. the mini garand look. I don't think they make the wood stock at all now so that kinda tells you that most people are going tactical.

That is definitely cool Skip. I am a little lost on the whole AR platform deal. There are so many choices and such a wide price range that I feel a little behind the learning curve on all that stuff. ???

I do like that they look just a little like a min garand.
